Gemstones come from nature and each has a certain frequency. For centuries, they grew and were energised by Mother Nature. When worn, these gemstones absorb the (negative) energy of the person wearing the gemstone or the environment the gemstone is in , and release its own (positive) energy to the wearer or environment.
However, it is important to cleanse them on a regular basis (rid them of negative energy) and recharge them afterwards so that they can maintain their energetic effect. Small gemstones need to be cleansed and recharged proportionally faster than larger stones.
There are several ways to discharge gemstones, but one way that works in all cases is to put them in a bowl of haematite stones overnight (24 hours is even better).
Hematite is self-cleansing and therefore does not need to be cleaned itself afterwards. Should you still want to cleanse your haematite stones over time, you can always put them on or in the ground for 24 hours. That way, any negative energy present can flow off into the earth. However, never use water to cleanse Hematite or it will start to rust, due to its iron content.
Hematite absorbs negative energy from its surroundings (or from other gemstones) as well as electromagnetic radiation (smartphone, PC, tablet, laptop,…).

Always consult a doctor in case of health complaints. Gemstones are supportive, but can never be seen as a substitute for medical or professional help.
